Instructor Portal Guide

Manage your students, schedule, and availability efficiently. Everything you need to deliver great driving instruction.

Instructor Portal URL

Access your portal at /instructor or /login

Accessing Your Portal

Getting Portal Access

  1. 1Your driving school will send you an invitation email
  2. 2Click the link in the email to create your instructor account
  3. 3Sign up using the email the invitation was sent to
  4. 4Once registered, you can log in at /instructor anytime

Logging In

  1. 1Go to /instructor (or /login and select Instructor)
  2. 2Sign in with your email and password
  3. 3You'll be taken to your instructor dashboard
  4. 4If you forgot your password, click 'Forgot Password'

Your Dashboard

Dashboard Overview

  1. 1See today's lessons prominently displayed
  2. 2View quick stats: assigned students, this week's lessons, pending requests
  3. 3Check recent student feedback and ratings
  4. 4See unread messages count
  5. 5View your performance metrics (total lessons, hours, rating, pass rate)

Understanding Your Metrics

  1. 1Total Lessons - All lessons you've conducted
  2. 2Total Hours - Cumulative teaching hours
  3. 3Average Rating - Your rating from student feedback (1-5)
  4. 4Pass Rate - Percentage of students who passed their tests

Managing Your Schedule

Viewing Your Schedule

  1. 1Go to 'Schedule' from the sidebar
  2. 2See all your lessons for the selected date range
  3. 3View today's lessons at a glance
  4. 4Each lesson shows student, time, duration, and vehicle

Lesson Details

  1. 1Click on a lesson to see full details
  2. 2View student information (name, phone, test readiness)
  3. 3See assigned vehicle for the lesson
  4. 4Check lesson type and duration
  5. 5View pickup/dropoff locations

Lesson Requests

Viewing Pending Requests

  1. 1Go to 'Requests' from the sidebar
  2. 2See all pending lesson requests from students
  3. 3View student preferences (dates, times, notes)
  4. 4Pending requests count shows on your dashboard

Approving Requests

  1. 1Click on a request to review details
  2. 2Check your availability for the requested dates
  3. 3Click 'Approve' to accept the request
  4. 4Select date/time and assign a vehicle
  5. 5The student will be notified automatically

Rejecting Requests

  1. 1If you can't accommodate a request, click 'Reject'
  2. 2Provide a reason for rejection (optional)
  3. 3The student will be notified with the reason
  4. 4They can submit a new request with different dates

Managing Students

Viewing Your Students

  1. 1Go to 'Students' from the sidebar
  2. 2See all students assigned to you
  3. 3View their progress and contact information
  4. 4See last lesson date and next scheduled lesson

Student Details

  1. 1Click on a student to see full profile
  2. 2View their complete lesson history with you
  3. 3Check their theory test results
  4. 4See their achievements and certificates
  5. 5View active lesson packages
  6. 6Access parent contact information if available

Monitoring Progress

  1. 1Track each student's test readiness score
  2. 2See their completed lessons count
  3. 3View skills covered in previous lessons
  4. 4Identify areas that need more practice

Setting Availability

Managing Weekly Schedule

  1. 1Go to 'Availability' from the sidebar
  2. 2Set your available days of the week
  3. 3Define time slots for each available day
  4. 4Toggle days on/off as needed
  5. 5Changes are reflected in booking options

Requesting Time Off

  1. 1Click 'Request Time Off' button
  2. 2Select start and end dates
  3. 3Provide a reason (vacation, sick leave, etc.)
  4. 4Submit request for school approval
  5. 5Track request status (pending, approved, rejected)

Student Feedback

Viewing Ratings

  1. 1Go to 'Feedback' from the sidebar
  2. 2See your average rating (1-5 stars)
  3. 3View total number of ratings received
  4. 4Read individual student comments

Rating Details

  1. 1Each rating shows the lesson date and type
  2. 2Student names may be shown or anonymous
  3. 3Comments provide detailed feedback
  4. 4Use feedback to improve your teaching

Recent Feedback

  1. 1Dashboard shows your 5 most recent ratings
  2. 2Quickly see recent student satisfaction
  3. 3Respond to patterns in feedback

Messaging

Communicating with Students

  1. 1Go to 'Messages' from the sidebar
  2. 2See all conversations with your students
  3. 3Click 'New Message' to start a conversation
  4. 4Select a student from your assigned list
  5. 5Type and send your message

Managing Conversations

  1. 1Unread messages are highlighted
  2. 2Click a conversation to view full history
  3. 3Reply directly from the conversation view
  4. 4Track when messages were sent/received
